I am a proponent of putting a stop to public spitting. It is an unhealthy habit that could lead to the spread of covid-19 and other respiratory illnesses, such as tuberculosis. We should all join hands to curb this habit that damages our beautiful city. The government should impose the no spitting rule as strictly as they implement no-smoking/no drinking in public spaces, said Dr. Sudarshan Ballal

Dr Sudarshan Ballal said, We are seeing now certainly the third wave in India mostly in the three cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore. Now, there are some stark differences between the previous waves and the current. In the first wave, a lot of healthcare workers were infected, many seriously and unfortunately lost their lives. In the second wave, healthcare workers were protected because of the lessons learned and vaccinations. In the third wave, what we are seeing is that healthcare workers are getting infected but not very sick.
