Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair in India

Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair is a minimally invasive procedure to treat the torn tendons ( which is referred to as rotator cuff ) in the shoulder joint.

The surgeon makes a few small incisions, typically about a half-inch in length, around the shoulder joint. An arthroscope, a thin tube with a camera and light, is inserted through one of the incisions, projecting images of the shoulder's interior onto a monitor.

Miniature surgical instruments are inserted through other incisions to access and repair the torn rotator cuff tendon.

Suture anchors are often used to reattach the tendon to the bone, with sutures passed through the tendon and secured to the anchor. Smaller incisions lead to less pain, scarring, and a faster recovery compared to open surgery.
