Dr Sudarshan Ballal said, The government has remained steadfast in the service of the people since the emergence of the Covid infection. The concern for the worsening of the infection, even when the infection was minimal, helped control Covid. The management of hospitals in the first and second wave, the establishment of covid care centres, the construction of step-down hospitals, the appointment of doctors for optimal treatment, and supply of medicines were all neatly handled. The decision taken by the government on infection control in private and public partnerships is commendable. Establishing telemedicine centres at every district centre to provide adequate treatment to people during the lockdown could significantly reduce Covid infection. The state of Karnataka's healthcare system is better than the rest of the state.

Dr Sudarshan Ballal said, All Covid infected and other patients requiring consultation do not need hospitalization. However, many still suffer from other diseases, including kidney and liver conditions, cancer, and diabetes. In such a case, it is wrong for the sick to decide for themselves. Patients should have a video consultation with their doctor from home. The advice they give should be followed properly.
