Healthy living consists of good nutrition, eating right, getting physically fit, getting adequate rest, and having proper stress management. From what we eat and drink, to how we exercise, and if we smoke or drink affects our health, not only in terms of life expectancy but how long we can expect to live without experiencing any chronic dis- ease.
SBI conducted Talk of the Ages, an event to educate and inform employees of the State Bank of India to lead a healthy, happy, and long life. Chief guest and renowned nephrolo- gist Dr. H Sudarshan Ballal, Chairman, Medical Advisory Board, and Director, Manipal Hospitals, spoke about various important issues around this topic while answering several ques- tions from the audience. At the event, SBI invited their senior retired officials as well as other pensioners and staff members to hear the talk and subsequent discussion with Dr H Sudar- shan Ballal.
Dr. V Sridhar, Sr. Medical Officer of SBI, was joined by Nand Kishore, CGM (SBI Karnataka) in welcoming Dr. Ballal. Dr. Ballal, who spoke about how to lead a healthy lifestyle post re- tirement and how they need to take care of their loved ones.
