Manipal Hospitals saves infant with a heart disorder

A four day old baby from Goa was airlifted to Manipal Hospital HAL Airport Road, Bangalore who was diagnosed with TGA (Transposition of Greater Artery) with VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect) and PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus). An arterial switch operation was done on the baby by Dr Devananda NS, Head and Consultant, Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, and his team that took about 8 hours to complete. Post this successful surgery, the baby has been shifted for post-operative care.
