He was a leading member of the relief team of Orthopaedic doctors, SGTB Hospital, Govt Medical College, Amritsar which visited BHUJ (Gujarat) in Feb.2001 after the devastation caused by Earthquake to provide medical and surgical relief to the victims.

Dr. Alok Sharma, an alumnus of the prestigious King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, did his post graduation (MS) in Orthopaedics from Govt. Medical College, Amritsar and MCh from Ninewells Hospital & Medical School, Dundee, UK. He has a keen interest in research & is a recipient of many fellowships including AO Trauma Fellowship from Kyungpook National University Hospital; S. Korea, Depuy Joint Replacement Fellowship, UPOA Travelling Fellowship and awards including the prestigious Ian Kelly Fellowship for the best scientific research during his MCh.
His specialty interests lie in Joint reconstructions including Total Hip and Knee replacements (primary and revision), Acetabular reconstructions and complex polytrauma management. He has an avid interest in knowledge sharing, is the National Faculty of AO Trauma for its Basic & Advanced courses (including being the Chairperson of the AO Trauma Advanced Course) and an acclaimed speaker in various state, national & international conferences.
He has been the Vice-President of the UP Orthopaedic Association, the Honorary Secretary & Vice-President of the Indian Medical Association, Ghaziabad, President & Secretary Ghaziabad Orthopaedic Club, Executive Committee Member of the Delhi & UP Orthopaedic Association, Organising Joint Screatary of the IOACON-2011 etc.
He is an avid trekker and has successfully trekked to Tapovan, Gaumukh, Rudranath, Kalpeshwar, Madhyamaheshwar etc.
He regularly participates in car rallies & has successfully completed 20th Raid De Himalaya Car Rally, Leh Ladakh in 2018, Desert Storm Car Rally, Bikaner, Jaisalmer in 2017.
He was a leading member of the relief team of Orthopaedic doctors, SGTB Hospital, Govt Medical College, Amritsar which visited BHUJ (Gujarat) in Feb.2001 after the devastation caused by Earthquake to provide medical and surgical relief to the victims.
He regularly participates in social, cultural activities including dramatics & stage performances. He has his own You Tube Channel viz ‘KAM KEHNA, SUKHI REHNA’ with his family.
He is an Orthopedician in Ghaziabad who always carries a smile on his face even in the most difficult of circumstances and shares a good rapport with patients and colleagues.

Telemedicine involves the use of electronic communications to enable Hospitals/health care centres to provide healthcare services at different locations through exchange of information and for the purpose of improving patient care. In case the information obtained via teleconsultation is not sufficient to make a diagnosis, I may be required to go to Manipal Hospitals for in-person consultation.

A limited visual examination will take place during the telemedicine/teleconsultation and that it cannot replace a full medical examination done physically at Manipal Hospitals.

The telemedicine/teleconsultation services are not in any way intended to be used in case of an emergency.
There can be potential risks with this technology e.g information transmitted may not be sufficient to allow for appropriate medical decision, the video /audio may disconnect/stop in-between, security protocols could fail causing a breach of privacy of personal medical information.
