He is among the earliest DM super specialists in Paediatric Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology in India. Prior to joining Manipal Hospital, Varthur Road as a Consultant Paediatric Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology, he served for over six years as a Senior Consultant in the Allergy and Immunology Unit in one of India’s foremost medical institutions.

  • He earned his MBBS from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, followed by an MD in Paediatrics from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi.   • Dr. Ankur completed his graduation, postgraduation, and super-specialisation from some of the country’s most reputed medical institutions. He is among the earliest DM super specialists in Paediatric Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology in India. Prior to joining Manipal Hospital, Varthur Road as a Consultant Paediatric Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology, he served for over six years as a Senior Consultant in the Allergy and Immunology Unit in one of India’s foremost medical institutions.

  • He earned his MBBS from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, followed by an MD in Paediatrics from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. To further advance his expertise, he pursued a DM in Paediatric Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology from PGI Chandigarh, establishing himself as a leader in this highly specialised field.

  • At Manipal Hospital, Varthur Road, Dr. Ankur brings a wealth of clinical expertise, experience, and compassion in managing complex allergic, immunological, and paediatric rheumatological conditions. His areas of focus include challenging disorders such as angioedema and urticaria, which are often misdiagnosed or detected late, requiring a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to care.

  • Dr. Ankur has conducted numerous awareness and educational programmes for physicians across India and neighbouring countries. He is widely regarded as a leading authority on the diagnosis and management of urticaria and angioedema in India and across several Asia-Pacific nations. During his tenure at PGI Chandigarh, he served as the Director of the Angioedema Centre of Reference and Excellence, an honour conferred upon only two centres in India to date.
