Dr. Ranjan Shetty is a renowned Interventional Cardiologist in Old Airport Road, Bangalore currently serving as a Consultant and Head of the Department of Interventional Cardiology at Manipal Hospitals. He has over 20 years of rich experience in Trans-Aortic Valve Implantations, complex coronary interventions especially chronic total occlusion, left main interventions, rota-ablation, bifurcation lesions, para-valvular leak closures, atrial septal defects device closures, patent ductus arteriosus device closures, ventricular septal defect device closures, congenital, and structural peripheral intervention especially stenting in aortic dissections, and Takayasu arteritis.

Dr. Shetty is a pioneer in Left Atrial Appendage device closure in the entire South East Asia and has performed the maximum number of left atrial appendage closures in India. He is a proud member of the American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, Cardiovascular Angiography, and Intervention as well as the Cardiology Society of India.

Dr. Shetty was nominated for the Best House Physician, AIIMS, and received the honour from the former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on January 1st, 1990. He has authored and co-authored chapters in many books and publications and has also organized and conducted multiple national and international conferences on cardiology.
