Suddenly, she had severe shortness of breath. Along with that, she had chest pain. Gradually, her body started getting weak. Finally, at 2 am, a 37-year-old woman went to a private hospital in Mukundapur. Despite multiple tests, starting from X-rays, the doctors could not find the cause of her shortness of breath and chest pain. Then, after a GI endoscopy, it was finally found that the woman had a whole toothbrush stuck in her stomach. Although she did not want to tell the doctors how she had swallowed the toothbrush.

The patient's treatment began under the supervision of Dr. Sanjay Basu, a gastroenterologist at the hospital. The doctor said, "The patient came to us and said that she had eaten something. But she did not tell us what exactly she had eaten. We performed a GI endoscopy and found that a large toothbrush was stuck in her stomach. This type of thing is usually seen in children. However, such a problem rarely occurs in adults. Usually, many adults swallow false teeth without realizing it. But in this case, she had eaten a toothbrush."
