  • Dr. Vinay Munikoty Venkatesh, during his fellowship (DM, 3 years) at PGIMER, Chandigarh, has been exposed to a wide spectrum of cases pertaining to haematolymphoid malignancies, solid tumours, and benign haematology. The hospital sees over 600 new oncology and 250 new haematology cases each year. Dr. Vinay Munikoty Venkatesh has been trained to independently manage cases, including emergencies and complications. A well-established thalassaemia daycare and haemophilia services are an essential part of this division.

  • At St John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore, he was appointed as a consultant in August 2018. I have continued to put my haematology oncology training into clinical practice. The hospital has nurse practitioners dedicated exclusively to the care of these children, and regular multidisciplinary tumour board meetings help optimise care for these patients. I have participated in National and International conferences. The hospital is also involved in National Clinical trials (InPOG – Indian Paediatric Oncology Group).

  • At Bristol Royal Children's Hospital, he has developed experience and expertise in managing children undergoing stem cell transplantation (allogenic, autologous, and cord blood transplant) for various haematological conditions, including refractory leukaemia, lymphoma, benign haematological conditions (including haemoglobinopathies, thalassaemia and sickle cell disease), marrow failure syndromes and immunodeficiency disorders.

  • Dr. Vinay Munikoty Venkatesh, during his fellowship (DM, 3 years) at PGIMER, Chandigarh, has been exposed to a wide spectrum of cases pertaining to haematolymphoid malignancies, solid tumours, and benign haematology. The hospital sees over 600 new oncology and 250 new haematology cases each year. Dr. Vinay Munikoty Venkatesh has been trained to independently manage cases, including emergencies and complications. A well-established thalassaemia daycare and haemophilia services are an essential part of this division.

  • At St John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore, he was appointed as a consultant in August 2018. I have continued to put my haematology oncology training into clinical practice. The hospital has nurse practitioners dedicated exclusively to the care of these children, and regular multidisciplinary tumour board meetings help optimise care for these patients. I have participated in National and International conferences. The hospital is also involved in National Clinical trials (InPOG – Indian Paediatric Oncology Group).
