Dr Kaushik is a dedicated clinician with over seven years of experience spanning clinical practice, teaching, and research in Paediatrics, including three years of exclusive training in Paediatric Neurology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He has served at several government institutions and medical colleges across India, including Government Medical College, Kottayam; ANIIMS, Port Blair; AIIMS, New Delhi; and AIIMS, Guwahati.

His core areas of interest include paediatric epilepsy and EEG, management of drug-refractory epilepsy (including ketogenic diet therapy and non-invasive neuromodulation- Transcranial magnetic stimulation, TMS), epileptic encephalopathy, genetic epilepsies, cerebral palsy, demyelinating disorders, CNS infections, neuromuscular conditions and others. A consistent academic topper during his undergraduate and postgraduate years, he has received several gold medals, including the prestigious Dr. B. R. Santhanakrishnan Gold Medal for securing the top rank at the national level in the DNB Paediatrics examination held in December 2016.

His research portfolio includes two major randomised controlled trials in epilepsy as Principal Investigator, in addition to exposure to several multicenter international trials on neuromuscular diseases (STEER in SMA, MIS51ON in DMD) during his tenure at AIIMS, New Delhi.
