Your physician will administer your TIPS through a small incision in your neck. Throughout the surgery, you will be given local anaesthesia medication to make you unconscious. After cleaning your neck, the medical professional will insert tiny instruments into a sizable vein. The medical professional will occasionally insert a small ultrasound device into a vein. Then, they will insert tiny instruments into your liver using ultrasound and moving X-rays. By inserting a mesh steel tube known as a stent between two veins in your liver, they will form a passage. After the stent is implanted, your clinician will ensure the pressure on your liver decreases. After the procedure, the catheter is removed, and the incision site is closed and covered with a bandage.
