Septoplasty

Septoplasty is a surgical procedure to correct a deviated septum, which is a common cause of nasal obstruction. The septum is the bone and cartilage that divides the nasal cavity into two halves. A deviated septum occurs when the septum is displaced to one side, causing obstruction of the nasal passage on that side. Septoplasty involves straightening the septum by trimming, repositioning, and sometimes grafting the bone and cartilage. This procedure is often performed in conjunction with rhinoplasty or nose surgery.

Extracorporeal Septoplasty

Extracorporeal septoplasty is a surgical procedure used to correct a deviated septum. The septum is the bone and cartilage that divides the nasal cavity into two nostrils. A deviated septum occurs when the septum is displaced or crooked. This can cause difficulty breathing and other problems. Extracorporeal septoplasty involves making an incision in the septum and realigning it. The procedure is typically performed under general anaesthesia and takes about 1 hour.

Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure to improve the appearance of your nose. It can be performed for both cosmetic and functional purposes. The surgery involves making incisions in the skin to access the underlying bone and cartilage. The surgeon will then sculpt the nose to the desired shape and size. Finally, the incisions are closed, and the nose is allowed to heal. Rhinoplasty can be a very effective way to improve your appearance and confidence.

Turbinoplasty

A turbinoplasty is a type of surgery that is used to treat enlarged turbinates. The turbinates are the small, finger-like structures that project from the side of the nose. They help to filter and humidify the air that we breathe. Enlarged turbinates can cause difficulty breathing, a blocked nose, and a runny nose. A turbinoplasty can be performed using either a laser or a scalpel. The surgeon will make a small incision in the side of the nose and then remove a portion of the turbinate. This will help to improve airflow and reduce symptoms. Book an appointment to have the best treatment.

Endonasal DCR's [lacrimal sac issues]

Endonasal dacryocystorhinostomies (DCRs) are procedures performed to improve the drainage of tears from the lacrimal (tear) sac. The lacrimal sac is located at the inner corner of the eye and drains tears into the nose. DCRs are performed when the lacrimal sac becomes blocked, causing tears to back up and overflow onto the cheek. DCRs can be performed using either an endoscopic (telescope) or microscopic approach. The endoscopic approach is less invasive and has a shorter recovery time, but the microscopic approach provides a better view of the anatomy and is more precise.

Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

Endoscopic sinus surgery is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat various sinus conditions. The procedure is performed using an endoscope, a thin, flexible tube equipped with a light and camera, which is inserted through the nose into the sinus cavities. During the procedure, the surgeon removes obstructions, such as enlarged tissue or polyps, and opens up the sinus cavities to improve drainage. In some cases, a stent may be placed in the sinus cavities to keep them open. Endoscopic sinus surgery is generally safe and effective, with a low risk of complications.
