Uroflowmetry Test in Bangalore
Overview
Uroflowmetry measures urine volume voided over time. The uroflowmetry test in Bangalore is useful in clinical conditions, such as frequency and urgency incontinence, voiding difficulty, hesitancy or difficulty in maintaining the urine stream.
Pre Procedure
You must come with a reasonably full bladder before the procedure.
During Procedure
- You are settled comfortably in an area where your privacy is respected throughout the procedure. You will be given a hospital gown to change into.
- The doctor and nurse will give you instructions and leave the room after which you may void urine into a special commode that measures the amount and rate of urine flow.
- Some patients are unable to void normally in the artificial conditions of the laboratory, then the nurse will ask you if your void was typical for you, especially if an abnormal pattern is observed. If you feel the void is atypical, the test will be repeated.
- This is a painless, non-invasive procedure that takes about 5 to 10 mins.
Post Procedure
- There are no specific rules and regulations to be followed post-procedure.
- The report will be issued within 15 to 20 mins, post-procedure.
