  • Dr. Kamath performed the first reported total joint replacement procedure on a distracted mandible in 2017.Dr. Kamath is one of KMC Hospital’s most experienced surgeons with more than 450 procedures under his belt.

  • Dr. Kamath has also performed the first Total Joint Replacement in India at KMC Hospital and this feat was extensively covered by various regional and national media outlets in 2015. Dr. Kamath is an Oral Surgeon in Mangalore, who has successfully performed a dentofacial deformity procedure correction caused by TMJ Ankylosis via total temporomandibular joint replacement on a 10-year-old patient, who had a history of multiple surgeries, following diagnosis of ankylosis with various modalities.

  • Dr. Abhay Kamath is the best maxillofacial doctor in Mangalore, currently heading the Oral and Maxillofacial Centre at KMC Hospital. He is one of the country’s foremost oral and maxillofacial surgeons.

  • Dr. Kamath performed the first reported total joint replacement procedure on a distracted mandible in 2017.Dr. Kamath is one of KMC Hospital’s most experienced surgeons with more than 450 procedures under his belt.

  • Dr. Kamath has also performed the first Total Joint Replacement in India at KMC Hospital and this feat was extensively covered by various regional and national media outlets in 2015.
