Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) is an early intervention family centered coaching program that provides parents and care-givers with appropriate tools to support their hearing impaired child’s speech and language development.
These children may require a hearing aid or cochlear implant. The AVT approach helps children develop a listening attitude through play-based sessions so that they become automatically accustomed to listening to surrounding sounds. This enables children with hearing loss to develop listening and spoken language skills, enhancing their opportunities and giving them an equal start in life.
