Miss Monika was diagnosed with congenital deafness at 8 months old, and her parents initially tried hearing aids and therapy for two years without success. At age 5, her father, Mr. Girisha, discovered a potential solution through a Google search and consulted Dr. Sampath Chandra Prasad Rao, Consultant – Skull Base Surgeon & ENT at Manipal Hospital Old Airport Road. Monika underwent a cochlear implant surgery, restoring hearing in one ear, bringing immense joy to her family.
