Lipoma Excision Removal in Mangalore

Overview:

A lipoma is a fatty and non-cancerous lump that generally causes no symptoms or any serious disorders. Lipomas are situated under the skin and move quite easily under the application of pressure. They generally occur in the shoulders, neck, back, arms, thighs and abdomen. Doctors recommend surgical intervention if the lipomas are painful, growing or causing any other symptoms. The procedure is invasive in nature and performed by a surgeon who is assisted by a nurse. It involves the administration of local anaesthesia following which the lipoma is removed from the underlying tissue. After the completion of the procedure, the patient may be prescribed pain killers and antibiotics. Patients are advised to consult the doctor immediately if any soakage or bleeding occurs at the site. Book an appointment to know more about Lipoma Excision.
