Her clinical approach emphasizes early diagnosis, precision treatment, and holistic support for young patients and their families.
Dr. Aarthi’s medical journey reflects an unwavering dedication to paediatric oncology. After completing her MBBS from Stanley Medical College, she pursued MD - Paediatrics at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, earning the Best Outgoing Student Award. Her specialist training continued with a DM - Pediatric Oncology, followed by an Advanced BMT Training, allowing her to manage complex childhood cancers and haematological issues. Dr. Aarthi also completed a Certificate Course in Cancer Genetics from GENE Council, Australia, for incorporating genomic insights for personalised, precision-based treatment pathways.
At Manipal Hospital Kanakapura Road, Dr. Aarthi leads comprehensive paediatric cancer care with a strong emphasis on precision diagnostics, multidisciplinary decision-making, and holistic, family-centred treatment. She manages a wide spectrum of paediatric cancers, including leukaemia, lymphoma, neuroblastoma, Wilms’ tumour, retinoblastoma, sarcomas, germ cell tumours, and paediatric brain tumours. Children with rare haematological disorders such as bone marrow failure syndromes, aplastic anaemia, haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), and inherited blood diseases are also under her care, with many requiring interventions such as bone marrow transplantation (BMT). Her experience in transplant-related decision-making, donor evaluation, pre-transplant optimisation, post-transplant infection surveillance, and long-term follow-up allows her to deliver highly specialised, outcomes-oriented care.
As one of the best paediatric oncologists in Kanakapura Road, Dr. Aarthi is especially known for her ability to integrate cutting-edge medical science with deeply empathetic communication. She believes that paediatric oncology extends far beyond clinical treatment, it involves addressing emotional needs, supporting parents as they navigate uncertainty, and helping children maintain resilience, confidence, and hope throughout their treatment journey. She also collaborates closely with nutritionists, psychologists, physiotherapists, infectious-disease specialists, and paediatric intensivists to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Aarthi is actively involved in academic teaching and research, and regularly contributes to national and international scientific forums. Her involvement in community outreach programmes, early cancer detection drives, and family education sessions further reflects her passion for strengthening paediatric oncology awareness and support systems. Her vision is to ensure that every child not only receives the best treatment but also retains the opportunity to live fully, recover confidently, and thrive beyond illness.
