Kidney Transplant | Mr. Imam Hasan | Manipal Hospitals Jaipur

Mr. Imam Hasan was a diabetic patient suffering from kidney disease, with an increase in creatinine level from 1.9 to 19 in a span of 3 years. Mr. Hasan underwent periodic haemodialysis in Bangladesh; however, constantly experienced difficulty in breathing, accumulation of water in his body, and also lost his appetite. Sometimes, however, life gives few lucky ones a second chance to live it better. As was the case with Mr. Hasan. He was admitted in Manipal Hospitals Jaipur, wherein, doctors worked on controlling his blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Due to the constantly increasing swelling in his body, a Kidney Transplant was recommended by the doctors supervising him. Mr. Hasan's nephew, Mr. Abdur Rauf Miya chose to donate a kidney, and a successful transplant was performed, following which the patient's creatinine level dropped to a normal range. He is now leading a healthier life, dialysis –free and with no restrictions on food and water intake. The Department of Kidney Transplant supervised Mr. Hasan's treatment, notably under Dr. Jitendra Goswami, Dr. Alok Pandey, Dr. D R Dhawan and Dr. Jyoti Bansal. Having undergone the Kidney Transplant at Manipal Hospitals Jaipur, indeed, it has proved to be one step in the right direction for a future which looked brim and dismissal at one point. Mr. Hasan's life has taken a U-turn and is back on a positive note.
