Kidney Transplant | Mr. Imam Hasan | Manipal Hospitals Jaipur

Mr. Imam Hasan was a diabetic patient suffering from kidney disease, with an increase in creatinine level from 1.9 to 19 in a span of 3 years. Mr. Hasan underwent periodic haemodialysis in Bangladesh; however, constantly experienced difficulty in breathing, accumulation of water in his body, and also lost his appetite. Sometimes, however, life gives few lucky ones a second chance to live it better. As was the case with Mr. Hasan. He was admitted in Manipal Hospitals Jaipur, wherein, doctors worked on controlling his blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Due to the constantly increasing swelling in his body, a Kidney Transplant was recommended by the doctors supervising him. Mr. Hasan's nephew, Mr. Abdur Rauf Miya chose to donate a kidney, and a successful transplant was performed, following which the patient's creatinine level dropped to a normal range. He is now leading a healthier life, dialysis –free and with no restrictions on food and water intake.
