24/7 emergency services during Durga Puja

Kolkata, September 25: As the city of Kolkata paints itself in the colors of Durga Puja, the greatest festival of Bengalis, Manipal Hospitals, Kolkata is ensuring that the pace of healthcare will not stop even for a moment on the day of the festival. As preparations are underway for Durga Puja in every corner of the city, five units of Manipal Hospital (EM Bypass, Mukundpur, Dhakuria, Salt Lake and Broadway) are ready to deliver world-class healthcare uninterruptedly.

To strengthen emergency services across the city, around 17 MARS ambulances will be strategically deployed at key intersections of the city to provide immediate support in case of any critical situation. In addition, Manipal Hospitals has launched a special 24×7 teleconsultation service—where patients and their families can consult doctors over the phone at any time, even during the festival. Around 20 specialist doctors will be available for teleconsultations and face-to-face consultations throughout the Durga Puja period.

Patients celebrate festival at Manipal Hospitals' 'Puja Parikrama' and film screening

Kolkata, September 20: Manipal Hospitals has come up with a special gift for its cancer survivors – Puja Parikrama 2025. This initiative has been taken to honour their courage, determination and zest for life on the occasion of Durga Puja.

Manipal Hospitals believes that treatment is not just about surgery, medication or follow-up – it also includes emotional and cultural care. That is why this year, two special events have been organized for patients. For those who are unable to go out due to physical reasons, there will be a special screening of the much-awaited film Raktabeej 2. On the other hand, for those who can go out and enjoy Durga Puja, a Puja Parikrama has been organized – a tour of some of the best Durga Puja pandals in Kolkata on Panchami (September 27). Manipal Hospitals doctors will be with the patients, and the stars of the film Raktabeej will be present at the film screening, making the joy double.

Over 100 infected in the last 24 hours, Bengal ranks third in the country in COVID infections – COVID in Bengal

Kolkata, June 5: The number of corona infected people in the state is increasing rapidly. More than a hundred people have been infected with coronavirus in the last 24 hours. 106 new Covid positive people have been reported. In total, the number of corona infected people in Bengal has reached 538 at this stage. Bengal is in third place in the country in terms of corona infected people.

A woman infected with Corona died on Sunday night. Many people are admitted to the hospital with Corona positive. A seven-month-old baby has been admitted to a private hospital near the bypass with Corona positive. Many people are also admitted to Beleghata ID Hospital with Corona positive.

At this moment, the government hospitals in the state are ready to deal with Corona. The Health Department has instructed that every government hospital will have to review their arrangements by today. The state government hospitals will check whether all the items that were used earlier for Covid are in good condition or not and submit a report to the Health Department. The state health department will submit that report to the Union Health Ministry.
