Dr. Kinshuk Sarbhai is a highly skilled pulmonologist in Old Airport Road, Bangalore. He is currently practising as a Consultant – Pulmonology at Manipal Hospital Old Airport Road, Bangalore, bringing a strong blend of clinical expertise, critical care training, and academic experience to the management of complex respiratory and intensive care conditions. Recognised by peers and patients alike for his calm clinical judgement and structured approach to diagnosis, he is considered one of the best pulmonologists in Old Airport Road, especially for cases involving chronic lung disease, respiratory infections, airway disorders, and ICU-based respiratory support.
With a strong academic foundation, Dr. Sarbhai completed his MBBS from Pt. J.N.M. Medical College, Raipur, followed by an MD in Respiratory Medicine from the prestigious Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar. During his postgraduate training, he developed a deep interest in pulmonary physiology, airway pathology, and chronic obstructive lung disorders, shaping his long-term dedication toward pulmonology. His academic excellence continued with the completion of the Indian Diploma in Critical Care Medicine (IDCCM) from Ram Krishna Care Hospital, Raipur, one of India’s recognised training centres for advanced critical care. This dual expertise in both pulmonary and intensive care medicine sets him apart as a specialist capable of managing a wide range of clinical challenges, from routine outpatient issues to life-threatening respiratory emergencies.
Dr. Sarbhai’s professional journey spans multiple high-acuity settings. Prior to joining Manipal Hospital Old Airport Road, he worked as a Senior Resident, where he gained valuable experience in interventional pulmonology techniques and the management of rare lung diseases. His exposure to Delhi’s diverse patient population strengthened his diagnostic skills across infectious, autoimmune, allergic, and airway-related respiratory disorders. Additionally, his two-year tenure as Senior Resident in Critical Care Medicine provided extensive hands-on exposure to ventilation management, invasive monitoring, organ support, and multidisciplinary ICU care, expertise that is particularly vital in today’s respiratory health landscape.
His research contributions reflect a keen academic interest in studying evolving respiratory trends. He has published in respected national journals, including the Journal of Evidence-Based Medicine and Healthcare and the Indian Journal of Chest Diseases and Allied Sciences, covering topics such as cystic lung changes in COVID-19 and the clinical patterns of respiratory infections observed during the pandemic. He has also contributed chapters to paediatric respiratory sections of Jaypee Publications, including key topics like Pneumothorax and Foreign Body in Airways, demonstrating his depth of knowledge in both adult and paediatric airway management.
Dr. Sarbhai has presented his work at major conferences such as NAPCON and Odisha Chest Con, where he gained recognition for his research on acute exacerbations of obstructive airway disease and atypical respiratory presentations. His academic excellence is further reflected in achievements such as winning First Position in the NAPCON State-Level Quiz (2020), a testament to his strong theoretical foundations.
In clinical practice at Manipal Hospital Old Airport Road, he offers a comprehensive range of pulmonary and critical care interventions. His skill set includes bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy assistance, intercostal drainage procedures, central line placement, airway management, mechanical ventilation strategies, arterial line insertion, and emergency resuscitation as per ACLS guidelines. This broad procedural expertise, combined with his patient-first approach, makes him widely trusted among individuals seeking respiratory care in the region. It has also contributed to his reputation as one of the best pulmonologists in Old Airport Road, especially for patients requiring integrated pulmonology and critical care management.
Fluent in Hindi, English, and Odia, Dr. Sarbhai connects effortlessly with diverse patient groups, ensuring clarity in communication and comfort throughout the treatment journey. His dedication, compassion, and structured clinical approach make him a dependable specialist for those seeking long-term respiratory care, interventional diagnosis, and advanced ICU support.
